Astrid is an associate in the Insolvency and Asset Recovery team. Astrid has experience working on complex, high value disputes in Australia. She has worked on both commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Astrid practised in Australia for several years. She has worked on commercial disputes across a broad range of sectors. Her experience includes claims for breaches of contract and confidence, and claims arising out of joint ventures. She also has experience working on construction disputes.
Career
Astrid joined Stewarts in March 2025. She previously worked at a leading commercial disputes firm in South Australia.
Astrid completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Adelaide in Australia before obtaining a Master of Laws from University College London. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia in August 2020.
Experience
Astrid has assisted on a variety of commercial disputes, recent examples include:
- Defending claims for breach of confidence and contract arising out of the acquisition of a competitor’s subsidiary.
- Representing a party involved in court proceedings to enforce an investor-state arbitration award.
- Defending claims brought in multi-party arbitration proceedings concerning delays and defects arising from the construction of a highly technical building.
- Representing a party to a joint venture agreement seeking compensation for breach of contract.
Personal
Astrid spends her time reading (both fiction and non-fiction), exploring new cities, trying new restaurants in London and hiking with friends.
