Amy specialises in complex and high-value medical negligence claims, with a particular focus on claims involving brain and spinal cord injury. She also has experience of claims involving the delay/misdiagnosis of cancer.
Experience
Amy’s current caseload includes claims arising from a delay in or failure to diagnose, refer or treat a range of serious conditions by GPs, paramedics, A&E staff and surgical specialists, resulting in a brain or spinal cord injury.
Career
Amy completed a BA (Hons) in English at Royal Holloway University of London before undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course in London. She joined Stewarts as a paralegal in 2015 and worked for the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury teams. In September 2017, Amy commenced her training contract with Moore Blatch LLP where she spent a year working in their clinical negligence team. Amy qualified as a solicitor in September 2019 and re-joined Stewarts as an associate in the Clinical Negligence team.
Personal
Amy has a keen interest in music and is a member of the Stewarts choir. She enjoys cooking, the theatre and keeping fit, particularly running. Amy also regularly watches international rugby at Twickenham with her family and supports Exeter Chiefs.
