Beth is a trainee solicitor in the Personal Injury department in the Leeds office. She has over three years’ experience assisting solicitors with complex and high-value catastrophic injury clinical negligence claims.

Expertise

Beth has assisted on a wide range of complex cases including brain, spinal and birth injury cases, injuries sustained during surgery, fatal injury claims and claims where foreign nationals have been injured in England.

She has experience of investigating new claims, drafting witness statements, instructing counsel and medical experts, issuing claims and preparing court bundles.

Beth has attended client meetings and court hearings and assisted solicitors in obtaining multi-million pound settlements for clients.


Career

Beth studied Law at the University of York and completed the LPC LLM at the University of Law in Leeds. She joined Stewarts shortly after as a paralegal in the Clinical Negligence department and became a senior paralegal in 2023.


Personal

Beth enjoys going on walks in the countryside with her family and friends, playing badminton and netball and watching Wimbledon. Beth loves exploring new places and recently travelled around the South of France with her family. Beth also enjoys watching West End shows, including Hamilton and Wicked.


Experience

  • Assisting on a claim on behalf of a foreign national against a private cosmetic operator, arising from an extensive procedure in England, where failure to recognise and act on emergency complications led to severe lower limb injury.
  • Assisting on a claim on behalf of a client who sustained a serious spinal cord injury arising out of spinal surgery for treatment of septic discitis and the subsequent care they received.
